In the news...

urg, I feel bad about being gone for so long >.< article published about sororities and hazing. Given that I'll be entering college in the fall, this is more than a little disturbing. And the sorority's letter to alumni is absolutely ridiculous! "One of her friends punched our President, Lauren Werkiser in the face causing our sisters to obviously react and throw her head into the wall." This is how things get out of hand, people! It had to have started from something else, because almost no one punches someone else randomly. And they try to play down their response, but "throw her head into the wall" just sounds scary and violent... Well, sororities ftw, eh? Good thing I'm not planning on joining one. And, of course, to keep things fair, anyone care to weigh in on their positive (or negative) sorority experiences?

And I'm no tweenager, but I'll admit to have watched Disney's Hannah Montana show a few times. What can I say? Girl's got spunk. She interviews alright too, though the accent bugs the hell out of me. But honestly, the "indecent" pictures just published in Vanity Fair Aren't That Bad. They really are reminiscent of some of the Renaissance depictions of Venus in the sea, with the wet hair, pose, sheet, and whatnot. I personally don't like her face (meh) because her lit cheek just overpowers the rest of her, and she looks completely different. I rather doubt they were going for the Venus look, but with any other model it probably would've been fine and not the Disney scandal of the century. oh, wait, that was Britney! Silly me ^.^
